If you have limited time on hand but have strong
desire to enjoy the magnificence of Everest, then Everest View Trek is the
great option for you. Ture to its name, Everest View Trek takes you to the
heart of Everest and lets you explore its beauty in its all glory. Anyone with
average fitness and strong determination can enjoy the trek in its
fullest.
The mighty Himalayas, a
jewel of the diverse topography and fascinating culture makes Everest region no
less than a trekker’s paradise. The insanely diverse trails bequeathed with
delightful atmosphere and stunning panorama make this trek an unmatched
journey. You will not only get a chance to explore valleys, forests, Himalayas
and waterfalls but also, get the opportunity to learn about the culture of
legendary Sherpas who reside on insane mountain structure of the region.
On 12 days Everest View
Trek, you will be hiking to an altitude of 12,694ft passing through the quaint
villages, grassy paths, steep rocks and dense forest of Sagarmatha National
Park (UNESCO protected sites of great natural value). You will be following the
footsteps of legendary adventures and mountaineers like Tenzing Norgay and Sir
Edmund Hillary. Nothing beats the feeling and thrills that hold the hikers
walking towards Everest and watching it very close.
Everest View Trek Route
Our 12 days journey
initiates after your arrival at Kathmandu followed by an exciting
trans-Himalayan flight to Lukla airstrip. Enjoy the first glimpse of Everest
from the land-handside seat of plane and experience a thrilling landing at
Lukla airport. Then commence your trekking through magical forest, alongside
gushing Dudh Koshi River, cross high suspension bridge several times and explore
small farming villages. The first day of the trek ends at Phadking and the next
day, you will push for Namche Bazaar walking through the steep mountain terrain
and exploring Sherpa culture & traditions.
Namche Bazaar is the
largest town in the region and it surprisingly offers the facilities of
bakeries, restaurants, bars, cafes, hotels and more. You will spend one more
night here to acclimatize your body at higher altitude. Your acclimatization
day is not wasted, you will explore the local market and neary Sagarmatha
National Park display center.
Next day, you will hike to
Khumjung village which houses age-old monasteries, school and museums -
offering you plenty of local exploration opportunities. Once you head towards
Tengboche, you will find the strong influence of Tibetan Buddhism in the form
of Mani walls, chortens and shrines scattered all over the trail.
Once you reach the
Tengboche, you will find yourself in the lap of mighty Ama Dablam,
Nuptse-Lhotse and Everest. Tengboche houses the largest monastery of the
region and the setting of the monastery on the back-drop of great Everest rage
will truly mesmerize you.
The returning journey takes
three days of easy downhill hike overnight at different villages.
