Overview:

Chulu West Peak climbing is an exciting and adventurous straight-forward climbing peak located in the North-East part of the famous Annapurna Mountain Range. Chulu West Peak stands at an elevation of 6,419 meters above the sea level and is a part of the bigger Damodar Himal range of Manang in Western Nepal, which runs south from Chako peak in a north-south direction along the Nar, Phu, and Hunlung Khola.

Chulu west peak is technically straight-forward compared to other trekking peaks in Nepal and demands excellent physical condition and stamina. Proper acclimatization is another important aspect to consider before making up the mind to climb Chulu West Peak.

The route to Chulu west combined with Annapurna Circuit Trekking is a traverse through the Marshyangdi River Valley up towards the Manang Valley and goes towards the Chulu West Peak. Similarly, after summiting the peak the circuit leads through the trail towards Jomsom to Thorong La Pass at the elevation of 5,416 meters above sea level.

Chulu West Peak Climbing takes you through the beautiful valley of Manang bringing you closer to the tranquil landscape, lush vegetation, traditional cultural heritage, and classic mountains. The journey to Chulu West peak is the combination of both trekking and climbing, therefore proper stamina, a positive mindset and determination, and excellent physical condition guarantee success. The climb to Chulu west offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna (8091m), and Nilgiri North (7061m).

Best Time to Travel:

The best time to climb Chulu west in the spring (March-May) and autumn (September- November) season of the year. However, many Adrenaline Junkies climb it in winter too, but be sure that you must prepare yourself for the extreme cold weather if you wanna try it in winter. The climb to Chulu West peak embarks as a lifetime experience of Peak climbing in Nepal and adds confidence to climb even the higher peak.
